help with amp

I have a nice 1989 rx-7non-turbo convert ,low miles.In 1991 my son blew the amp while driving the car at his high school prom-,I never got it fixed as my son died in 1992 and it always reminded me of my loss.I would like to fix the audio now. I hope I haven't waited too late to find the amp-I have been trying to find out where the amp is located in the car.It crackles and pops and cuts in and out.The Mazda dealer said they just stopped carrying the parts.Any help much appreciated

Hi most likely to be under seat or inside where the radio

was.

under dash drivers side,left leg.
OR in the back,driver's side,beside the roof motor.

I have an 89 very with a full aftermarket stereo. I'm pretty sure all my original amps are still in the car. If you can send me a picture of what you need and I have it, you are welcome to it for just shipping. I did sell the headrest speakers years ago. Not sure which part you need.
