Help: 2 different kinds of plugs in my se
Hi guys,
I know that FC's and FD's are recommended to fun two different heat ranges of plugs in leading and trailing positions. I just found that my 84 SE has 2 heat range 8 plugs and 2 heat range 9 plugs. Is this ok for an SE? I believe the engine was street ported in the past and it has the RB exhaust and header for street ported cars. If this is ok, which heat range goes in the leading/trailing positions? Thanks everybody.

I would need to double-check a reference, but the Gen I cars may have run all the same range stock. at any rate, even if my memory is correct, you can run them staggered with no ill effect. 8s and 9s for N/A cars are sort of middle-of-the-road.
the hotter plugs (lower number) would go in the leading positions, and of course, the cooler ones are the trailing.
