Hello and please help

New to this sight guys, I am an FD owner in japan trying to get full access to this sight and I suppose i have to talk about things here? SO I'm here to ask a few newbie questions to try and start a conversation. First being: I've identified an oil leak between the oil cooler and and the oil filter, any suggestions on where to get some quality replacements? also I have a differential leak, any suggestions on where to maybe get gaskets? thanks in advance.

sury bout that.

Hey let me be the first to give you a BIG welcome! Sorry to see that the rules of the site are affecting you so much. Rest assured though, they are in place for the greater good of us all ....Also that is super great that you are located in Japan! I am also in Japan!! As for gaskets I am pretty sure I saw some for sale on ebay, or maybe in the vendors section of this site.

Cheers mate!

the cooler(s) or lines aren't a common failure point, are you sure it isn't just the oil pan or past oil changes lacking in care? there is 2 o-rings under the oil filter pedestal that do leak with age so that is also a possibility.

Thanks for your advice! However, the line is for sure leaking a bit (nothing crazy). I did notice some residual leakage near the oil filter as well though so I'll definitely be checking that out this weekend before cruising out to the local lake. New to the rotary game but I'm excited to continue learning.

Under the oil filter will be the orings, you can always make your own gaskets or use a good rtv

I've got a personal vendetta against RTV, the oil filter/pedestal/couplings to the cooling line beneath the filter are all tight and aren't leaking. The leak I found was in a coupling mid way between the oil cooler and the oil filter (the line itself).

That said I've identified another leak from what seems like the rear oil seal... Reasoning for that is: some oil coming from the bell-housing, and I'm getting a noise with the first few gear changes (mainly first gear) on any given day i decide to drive it. The noise definitely comes from the clutch disk and according to research i've done in the Mazda instruction/troubleshooting manuals the noise I've got is indicative of some amount of oil on the clutch disk?

Maybe I've got that all wrong but in my mind it seems justifiable. once again thank you all for your time.
