hi there. im new here. i have a question. i have an 88 gxl, at least thats what i was told. i ran the vin on a website and its saying its a gtu. i was wondering if there was a definite way to know for sure which i actually have. it has the big brakes, lsd, power windows, mirrors and sunroof. the electronic suspension and 5 lug. i got lucky with this car. 104k, im the 4th owner zero rot or rust and everything works including the a/c. the only bad thing is that the rear struts are blown and the previous owner sanded it down for paint and never got it painted. any incite would be much appreciated.

 

• sounds like all the same stuff my gxl had but I’m not sure what a gtu is or has. Good luck on finding out!!

You have a GXL. The GTU did not have power windows or the auto adjusting suspension.
