OR Head light actuator problem

I'm new to RX7s and wonder if anybody has experience with
fixing head light raise/lower actuators. Is there a quick test to
see if the actuator's need replacement?

Well, if neither headlight retractor operates, it sorta points to the control circuit rather than the actuators because the same up / down signal operates both retractors. Both retractor motors also share the same source (+) from the battery and ground point (-) to the body. But those are shared with other systems, too.

If you have the equipment and knowledge to check voltage, the most convenient place probably is the connector for either retractor. Each one has 4 pins: + and - to operate the retractor motor, one to signal 'up' and one to signal 'down'.

By the way, there probably are several threads on this.

Retractable headlight actuators

Sorry about my first reply...I got distracted, timed out and did not realize that my copy / paste did not include the entire text of my initial answer.

I had suggested you look online for the wiring diagrams which will give you the locations of the connectors, the pin configuration and wire colors for which of the four wires does what.

Good luck.

Thanks RobbyWally advice

Checked and the actuator works. It seems the wiring is not factory.
I think there is a resistor problem. Not sure how to test it but I'll
search for threads. Thanks a lot for your feedback!

You could hook it up to the battery to see if they work.

What exactly is the problem?

If you have confirmed that the actuator works, maybe you can explain your problem in more detail. There should not be any resistors in the circuit - just switches and relays.
