??hard to start and no idle??

I just got a 87 Turbo II it was runnimg fine but now it starts for a 4 or 5 seconds then dies and if I try to give it gas when it turns over it stalls instantly,after about10 times of stalls it will feel like something kicks on and the RPMS finally jump past 1500 rpms and i can give it gas and get it to run but it wont idle on its own no mater how long it warms up,any sug.?????

having a similar problem with my na.. hard to start, but when it does... it revs up very slow and stops at 5k.....

When I get it runnig I can bring the rpms right up to red line if I want to and it still has plenty of power and runs smooth it just wont idle anymore no matter if the engine is cold or warm?...?..>
