Handling issue

Hey i just got my Rx7 (86 GXL) and i have been noticing that it has been handling poorly. The power steering is incredibly easy to turn (not sure if this is normal) and the car feels really skittish. Also when i corner hard my car shudders like crazy almost as if the rear end was skipping. i checked the PS fluid and its not low or anything. i was wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or knows whats wrong?

Thanks.

That lightweight power steering is normal, its why I removed it.

Your rear end sounds like bad DTSS (Rear Steer) Bushings, the cheapest thing to do is replace them with rear steer deletes. www.mmr-direct.com

Well, it's a 20+ year old car, so face the fact that the suspension is a little tired. The rear end being a little dodgy could be a number of things. It could be the rear bushings are worn out. It could be the diff - are you hearing any noises from it?

It probably needs to go up on a lift and get checked out by someone who knows sevens. You may want to check out the Canadian forum for any local recommendations.

Good luck,

also have your alignment checked, tie-rod ends checked, wheel berrings tightened if loose, etc...
