Haltech tuning

Hi guys

I have just rebuilt my engine and have upgraded to a slightly bigger turbo. The tune is running off injector time on a haltech ps1000. I have added more time to the primarys and secondary stage maps but still runs as lean as the old map. Has 860cc primarys and 1600cc secondarys. Only runing a hiflow turbo around 300hp so should have plenty of injector to use. Could someone help me to see what im missing out to add fuel to my map.

Thanks 👍

Are correction maps affecting your overall AFRs? Are you lean off and on boost?

I am by no means a tuner, have been playing with my car for quite some time, can only offer minimal help.

@KNONFS It is perfect afr off boost in and coming onto boost is good. When it hits around 4000rpm starts to lean out. I havnt done anything with correction maps. What would i have to do there?

@David Crooky Correction maps alter your fuel/timing based on coolant temp, air intake temp, or other conditions. Again, on my very limited experience/knowledge, I would assume the coolant/air correction maps are not affecting your AFRs since you stated they are good under vac/early boost. With this info, have you confirmed that your fuel pressure is not dropping while you get into boost? If not, what are your injector duty cycles during boost vs rpm when it goes lean? Maybe you just need to increase fuel on that part of the map.

@KNONFS
like i said im not to knowable on tuning have just started.
Ill look at injector cycles. What does that change. Is that dwell time to fire or load on how much fuel pressure there is?
thanks for helping it out.

injector duty cycle is measured in milliseconds(ms) or a percentage value, and is the amount of time the injector is open, spraying fuel.

@rxtasy3 So that is the base fuel correct??

I have increased the primarys by 20% and the secondarys by 25% on the base and staging but still get afr around 11.8 at 15psi.
the map that i am adjusting off was tuned for 10psi.
with 860 primarys and 1600 secondarys its alot of fuel added to not change the afrs
