CA 'Guaranteed to Pass' Emissions Test Formula on an 1987 Non-Turbo

Does this fuel system cleaner work on N/A rotaries? Says it will or double the money back, but I'm wondering if that's only on cylinder engines. Getting my car smogged over the weekend, so I just want to make sure I'm ready. Mine is an 87 non turbo with low mileage. If not what else could I use?

Yes it works, it cleans out your fuel injectors which are common to both motors.

You will be fine as long as you are running a cat, and have a properly working air pump.

It is probably mainly just alcohol with some other stuff thrown in to make the ingredients list sound impressive. Nothing in the bottle will be able to clean your injectors very well, if it all. The most they can do is remove minor deposits. Now, the alcohol will certainly help you pass emissions but you must drive carefully while the stuff is in the tank.

If the car is stock, in good condition, then emissions should not be a concern.
