Grinding Noise from Differential. Please help.

Grinding Noise from Differential. Please help.
I have a 1988 Rx7 FC Vert.
Just recently a grinding noise started coming from the Diff as far as I can tell. It only happens when i'm driving at least 10-15 mph or over and when I depress the clutch pedal. I drained the diff oil and found out there was about a liter less than the required amount. So I filled it up to the required amount, and it's still making that noise. Any info on what it could be or a solution would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
