I use to dd a Turbo II that was streetported with bolt ons... We won't talk about fuel mileage

Now I dd a n/a vertible.

Neither one has given me any issues for reliability, take care of the car and it'll take car of you


Also OP: Fact for rotary newcomers: Most people that bash on rotaries are clueless morons talking out of their ***...

I just got a 87 fc base model. Its been pretty reliable. i just fill her up and go. hasnt given me any problems so far.

This is my stance: I don't have space for two cars, I love driving and I'm hard on my vehicles. If you don't care about mileage or the comparative expensive of the occassional parts, ie a switch here, a caliper there; and they do cost, then its hard to do better. I don't treat it with kid gloves, I drive everywhere the way it's nature demands if I can, and the only cars I have had that can take that level of abuse and compare for reliability have been Audis. One of which I have blown up on the motorway. If you truly enjoy your driving and you want something that does more than get you from A to B for your of time for me their pretty hard to beat!

Sorry forgot to say N/A only, I believe turbos are more fragile and obviously require more attention.
