TN god aweful looking painted aluminum wheels help

ok, so other than kleen strip or aircraft paint remover and a ton of elbow grease, does anyone have suggestions for removing paint from aluminum wheels? theyre enkei sportlines and look great on my fc project minus the fact that im not a fan of the paint job or color. I want to do a smoke or gunmetal gray once old paint has been removed. who has suggestions? yes, I will be removing tires to do this job. any help or suggestions greaty appreciated.

I don't think it would matter But I used the aircraft stuff.
I found it at NAPA..
You apply it and it literally turns the paint to "old lady skin"..then you can wipe it off!
