Fuel system problem
1990 RX-7 Cabriolet turbo II. It had not run for 18 months. It was flooded. I cleared this and the engine started but cut out after a few seconds. I found the pump switches off and so the engine dies. If I short the yellow test connector the pump will run and the engine will run, but smells rich. I've checked the relays and the filter, they are ok? If the AFM is held in a bit the engine will run but not well. The Fp wire on the COP has no voltage after the initial few seconds - any ideas?

By COP I mean the Curcuit Opening Relay and the Fp wire is the wire to the pump.
How come I can get the car to run by manually holding in the Flow Meter but there is no voltage in the Fp wire?
Has anyone had a similar problem?
Any advise would be appreciated.
Cheers
