fuel pump on rx7?

where would the fuel pump be located on a 85 rx7? seems to not be working

If the car has a carb, then the pump is located just inboard of the driver's side rear wheel.

However, there are a couple of things to check before you pull the pump.

1. If there is no spark on the secondary plugs then the fuel pump will not run.
2. Check your fuses (I think the one you want is called Meter).
3. There is a relay located under the steering column that often goes bad. You can jump this relay, the only change will be that the pump will run with the key on.

Same place if it's EFI. There's a little access hatch.

I just got to mine yesterday I have an 84 GSL definitely check that fuel pump relay I thought mine was dead but after jumping the relay it worked just not providing enough fuel flow time to blow out the hoses yay. Search the forums here for 84-85 fuel pump trick there is a basic diagram of how to do it its very simple 1 wire good luck
