I have an 84 rx7 gs with the 12a, it is a stockport. It has minimal mods like carter fuel pump, holley fpr, rb holley intake system, rb headers and presilencer.
my question is the fuel pump works but it used to only turn on when the engine was turned over, now it turns on when the ignition is on, is there a relay that could go bad? I thought these models had a safety relay that turned the fuel pump on only when engine is turned over. Im stumped.

 

Far as I know, all 1st gens ran the fuel pump as long as the key was on RUN. When someone wired in the pump, did they perhaps wire the trigger wire for the relay into the accessory position on the key switch?
