fuel pump?

CT fuel pump?

my fuel pump just went on my 87 rx non turbo. I am planning on going turbo as soon as i can and when i do will i need a different one? and if need a different one to go turbo and get it now will it work with my non turbo?

yes. there shouldn't be a problem by simply upgrading the pump.

But a higher flowing pump will probably raise fuel pressure, which will cause the car to run rich.

What do you mean by "going turbo"?

I ment that i have a non turbo and soon i am going to buy a turbo engine with trany and swap them. so it the car will run rich i can just adjust it. all it is is a screw adjustment. am i right?

what about the regulator? i figured the stock regulator would keep pressures in check, but even if i'm wrong, an aftermarket regulator (which would probably be a good idea anyway) would work, no?

There is no adjustment you can make. The pot on the passenger shock tower only adjusts idle mixture.

Depends on the fuel pump really. A TII pump should not represent a problem. A Walbro 255 will.

I upgraded to a walboro255 in the t2 i used to have and I had serious flooding issues. I even wired the pump thru a relay to a switch which helped but it was still flood and not want start.
