I got a 88 gxl. It starts but acts like it gonna die. Fuel filter or fuel pump maybe?

for your immediate problem, start looking for vacuum leaks. also make sure all grounds are clean and secure.

when was your last tuneup?

 

You need to elaborate more..
Does it start and want to die BUT it will run if you keep your foot on the gas..or die anyways,regardless.
The more INFO you can give the better you can get answered.
Little info equals little help.
