Fuel Injector Testing By Pressure Decay?

Fuel Injector Testing By Pressure Decay?
Today, I was able to rent a fuel pressure testing kit from a local part store and test my fuel pressure/fuel pressure regulator. Below are my results.
after warming up during idle: ~35psi
after warming up during idle with the orange connector grounded as indicated by the FSM: ~40psi
after engine shut down: ~28psi
So, fuel pressure test out OK!
Since I already have the fuel pressure test kit setup on my Rx7, I decided to leave it setup on my car in order to do a pressure decay test for about an hour or so.
My question is, would a successful pressure decay test (if the pressure stays at ~28psi and does not drop) on the fuel system indicate to me weather my injectors are healthy or not? It should indicate to me whether I have a leak in the system or not, maybe not necessarily at the injectors though. But if they is no pressure decay that means this is no leak in the system and therefore no need to take the injectors out to test them for leaks as indicated in the FSM.

Fuel pressure will gradually decrease even on a healthy fuel system. So the test won't really prove much unless you can get a measurement on a known healthy system and then compare it to yours.
If you are looking at testing your injectors, just have them professionally cleaned and tested at a local injection shop.
