Hi guys,

So I removed both primary and secondary fuel rails to replace the o-rings and get injectors cleaned. I noticed that all 4 diffusers were still stuck down in the injector openings in the manifold, now I hear that they are very brittle and wanted to know do I need to try and fish them out and how? or will it be OK to just leave them in there?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

 

spray some MMO onto them and let it soak for a bit, then use your finger to push them out from within the port while wiggling them lightly.

 

OK, sound advice for taking them out; but should I risk it? Would you? Thanks for the reply.

 

If you are keeping the stock injectors, you should keep them. However I believe they have O-Rings that should be replaced now while you have access to them. I asked the same questions when I did my upper intake, and apparently they improve the spray pattern of the injectors.

Be very, very gentle as they are plastic and probably very brittle. Replacements are available from Mazdatrix (I believe).
