PA Fuel Economy woes

88 SE Non turbo.

On a completely unrelated note to my other post, what in the world warrants getting 8.8 MPG city driving?

Even for an rx7 that can't possibly be right.

Tires have about 35 psi in them, since owning the car I have only done belts so far. The car had been sitting for awhile but the plugs and wires dont look too bad. Should I be replacing these anyway?

I was even nice on thegas pedal, and neutral coast to the stops!

Anywho, what should I begin checking?

Start by doing a tune up replacing spark plugs/wires, o2 sensor, oil change, air filter, check tps, timing, replace tps if its bad.

Check for vacuum leaks/exhaust leaks etc

You have to be running super rich for it to be sucking up that much gas, I got 18-24 MPG in my old na.
