First time installing a new exhaust N1 Dual
So i'm in the process of buying a new exhaust, the 88 comes with a stock dual so
I thought to replace it with a dual.
I'm buying the Apexi N1 dual from a buddy secondhand and used and
am wondering if I'm going to need to get new gaskets to fit up to the No. 2 Pre converter.
I looked under there and it seems rust has gone ahead and possibly mated the flanges together, maybe
some PBM blasts might help in removal? Any advice and help is very much appreciated.

Isn't the N1 duel a cat back?
If so, then there should be no reason to disassemble the cat assembly. If there aren't any leaks, then taking it apart is just going to cause you grief in the form of breaking off rusted fasteners and then dealing with flanges that most certainly won't be flat.
N1 is pretty loud as I recall.

Yeah, it's the 163KZ01 catback, my main concern is just the amount of rust buildup in the flanges themselves.
My stock exhaust looks like it needs replacing, I'm looking on the Haynes manual and comparing the position of the N1's connection point vs stock
and I'm a little confused on where I would connect them, I'm sure when i get my hands on it I'll see.
It seems I get a presilencer and what looks to be a downpipe that fits straight w/o an angle
a down pipe would normally have?
Thats where my confusion comes in.
If i shouldn't mess with the cat assembly then that means I wouldn't have to worry about that straight/downpipe piece.
Not sure I can post pics yet.. but if i could, what the racing beat website shows on the 'header vs downpipe-best application'
diagram I can see the downpipe has a curve to fit to No. 1 Pre converter, so the N1 i'm buying has the straight piece for where the dp would be.
(The followup to that is 'do I need an adapter?')
I'm into detail because it's a 3hr drive to pick up the N1 and then the same back down.
(*Under the impression that it's a really good deal)
