FD3s Runs intermittently on 1 rotor
Hello, I've searched but have found no solutions on the subject.
I have a 93 RX7 and it's been a bit quirky.
The car idles rough. I know it has vacuum leaks, I need to fix those. But while driving, the car will intermittently run on what feels like one rotor. I'd describe it as a 4 cylinder car running on 3 cylinders. I've compression tested it and it came back fine.
I've replaced the plugs and wires already. The car does run remarkably rich though.
Also, every once in a while while trying to start up, the starter will crank for a second and just stick and I have to turn the key again to free it up.
Suggestions I've heard so far:
Carbon Build Up
I'm thinking it might be injectors? Anyone have any thoughts? I'll see my car again tomorrow as it's in my garage for storage for the winter.

I don't have any first hand experience, but guessing it could be a stuck/sticking hard seal. You've had the compression check and the car runs rich. It could also be the injectors causing carbon issues, causing an intermittent stuck seal.
You might try this and see if it improves things ----> Rotary Resurrection home of the budget rebuild.
Note: Not certain if it's mentioned in that link, but I would use only DISTILLED water. I also recommend you do this outside and have a second person watching the exhaust downstream as it will get extremely hot. That's normal, just safer with a second set of eyes.
Are the injectors stock/oem? If so, you could try some good injector cleaner like BG44K....maybe at strength...say only in a half tank or less and a new O2 sensor. A decent one is pretty cheap for the FD.

My 2001 S8 FD have really rough idle, stall problem and sometime go 1 rotor...
In my case I have 1 primary injector out of spec and the other primary blasted (leak internally and not building pression)
I changed the blasted one and sent other 3 injectors to ultrasound cleaning and "tuning"
all fine right now
