FD vents engine bay into cabin
I'm not sure if this is common with fd's but its got me a little worried. Usually only at high speeds or when the fans are running, air gets pushed into the cabin even if I have the heater or a/c off (which was disconnected when I bought the car). I'm worried that its pouring carbon monoxide into there, which is bad for obvious reasons. Anyways I want to know if there is an easy way to fix this, or a hard way doesn't matter as long as its a solution. Thanks.

Have a look at the firewall and check if the wiring harness grommet is not seated correctly or other holes exist.
Also, look under the shifter and see if the shift boot is installed as fumes can work there way up from there also.
Are you running a cat?
If you can't figure it out yourself, go to the Regional section and find a local-ish shop to take a look at. There are a couple in TX but you may have to drive a while. RX7.com is one.

Alright I'll have to take a look around the car. I recently moved to Austin so rx7.com is a bit far for me now (which used to be right around the corner). Just a little worried about it venting. Its pretty much the air vents themselves are allowing air to pass through without the airflow turned on. Anywhere that the a/c or heater would come through air from the engine bay comes in from.
