Question FD normal rpm rising but no boost in overpressure

Hey guys,

i get my rhd 92 twin fd a few weeks ago.
Its almost stock, just a catback, suspension and hks ssqv 1.
It was sitting 6-7 years and now i try to get everything running and well.
I had some starting problems and for sure i float it a couple times as a new rotary guy
After i figured out it where just the ignition cables i put in some new ngk's and it was good for the moment.
I get a licence plate for test driving then, before i filled up a bit 98 octane then my first way with almost empty tank was to the next tank station with 102 gas i filled up a half tank and think now it should be enough more good than bad old gas.
The oil is in good condition also, i filled up almost a half litre and after i desable the problem i will change the oil directly, already bought motul 5w30 300v racing oil, i use that in my evo also (15w50) its the perfect choice for me.

Now i drove with the fd and made very slow and warm it up a long way and get slowly into the rpms and boost.
Rising the rpms is no problem but when it goes from underpressure to 0 and goes to overpressure it act like it wants to push but can't.
You feel it just one moment before the turbo should work it stops and make pops, kinder like hitting the rev limiter but different.
When i speedup in underpressure its no problem to go to the rev limiter and rise speed.

I checked some hoses but didn't found any issue yet.
When i changed the ignition wires i removed the intake elbow and saw the seal was broken, i just reused it after i mount it back with sealant until i get the new seal.
At this point it may could loose some pressure but don't think everything.
The car has a hks ssqv 1 mounted with the regulator screw and its open early but it should generate boost still.

My first thing i want to do is a boost leak test, before i take the turbos off.
But at the moment it looks like the wastegate is fully open for me, otherwise i can't imagine some other issue.

Iam not dump at cars but for sure the rotary is a new and other story, i want to learn all by my self so bringing it away to a shop is no option.

Sorry for my bad english iam from germany

Thank you guys in advance
and i hope some of you may have a key for me.

Regards Marco

Do you notice it at a certain rpm? I noticed on mine that when I get to 3k rpm it kind of bogs if I'm just doing normal driving but works fine when I'm somewhat flooring it.

Thank you for answer.
No its not at a special rpm level i can rise rpm from 2000-7000 with no problem when i pushing the gas slowly so its not build more pressure then 0 bar.
Driving it under overpressure (under 0 bars) it drives like it have no issue.

Don't worry about your English. It's MUCH better than my German.
You're describing "Limp Mode". If vacuum is lost at the intake manifold, the ECU will not advance timing and cuts the fuel.
I'm aware that the RHD models do not have a Check Engine Light on the dash like our LHD NADM cars do, but you can pull codes. IIRC the procedure is the same for you car as ours. If I'm correct that it's limp mode, then you have a code which should give you an idea of what's causing it. ----> Check Engine Light Codes
