FD exhaust flange studs & nuts: will RX8 ones do?
I need to replace some of my studs and nuts for the exhaust flange (ie the studs in the rotor housing and associated nuts that secure the first stage of the exhaust manifold). I think the part numbers are 9YA9-21-002 and 9YB10-1001.
As these need to be made from inconel I want to go with OEM. A mate has offered me the equivalent RX8 components (I think JE10-40-355 and N3H1-13-456); as far as I can see from internet pictures the studs and nuts have a different number of thread lengths but aren't so different that I can rule them out.
The safest option is to get OEM FD items, but this will cost me a fair amount (they're more expensive here in the UK) and I'll have to wait to get them. The free RX8 items are tempting but are they acceptable alternatives?
