Long story short I have been to two mechanics and one suspension specialist - all of which can’t find me the bushes I need.
I have spent a couple of hours searching on the forums learning that some of these bushes can be ordered online and/or supplied by some members on here. However I am still not 100% sure which parts I need. Here is a screenshot of what the suspension specialist reported.
Please help Feeks like I snap a rim every time I hit a bump
J-auto is good. He has pillow bushings that will fix your rear suspension up good.
The other bushings and rubber bits can be had from multiple sources like superpro suspension. I think j-auto is also a dealer for those.
If you stick with stock style shocks/springs, I think the OEM rubber hats are still available. I replaced with coilovers that did not require the OE hats so I am not 100% sure.
Anyways, for the most part its all readily available but will cost a little cash.
I believe Mazdatrix ships internationally but you might check. Most noise and knocking sounds are traced back to the rear pillow-ball bushings (bushes). Replace all the dust seals and keep grease behind them. The grease isn’t so much for lubrication as to help seal out moisture.
Not positive but re: the swaybar end-links, which I think he’s referencing, do not have replaceable rubber bushings and I’ve never seen aftermarket either. So you may have to just buy new end-links. . https://www.mazdatrix.com/vehicle-ye...rings-bushings
i still dont quite understand how people "cant find" parts... i feel like the age of information is a myth at this point
idk I don't really think its fair to expect a normal mechanic to sleuth around for aftermarket parts. They normally just have an autozone-esque system they put the year/make/model into and it spits out available or not available.
And based on what the mechanic noted (And it not sounding like OP is a super technical hands-on person) it would be tough to connect "Rear tow arm outer bushes are knocking" to "Order x amount of pillowball bushings from J Auto"
The information is here to be found for sure, but I can understand why asking is more appealing to someone who is probably just in a hurry to get their car fixed up.
I think it can be easy to forget that it can be overwhelming if someone doesn't already have the baseline knowledge that you might have.
