Hey guys, I hope you can help.
Sorry, it's a long post but i want to give all the info.

I have an FD, a 94' from Japan.

When i received the car the battery was dead(I had it towed to my house). I borrowed a charger from a friend but due to scheduling i didn't get it for over a week.

So while the car was sitting i took a look at everything and noticed my front right suspension housing was broken and there was some wheel well damage in front and behind the wheel. It looks like it ran over something fairly big. Anyway, these things weren't listed on the auction sheet so i wanted to take a picture to show my broker since they asked me what i thought of the car.

I was disappointed these things weren't listed.

So i went to the car, put the keys in and turned the wheel(it was on loose dirt) to take a better picture of the suspension. Everything on the dash lit up(dimly) and the lights were working in the interior. I didn't check the other lights(I put the hazards on and heard the clicking but didn't check).

When i finished I forgot to put the keys back in while i turned the wheel back. So the anti theft thing engaged(where the wheel and keys don't turn)

Fixed that by pressing the break in and turning the key.

I finally got the charger and charged the battery.

This is the problem i have now. When i turn the key the starter tries to start the engine. Nothing else electrical works though. No lights on the dash. No interior or exterior lights. Non of the switches for A/C etc. Nothing, not even that small light were you put the keys in.

The battery is charged(I've tried boosting the car twice as well)
I put fuel in the tank.

I believe this has something to do with that anti theft thing that engaged when i turned the wheel without the keys in.

Or maybe a fuse?

Can anyone help me?

If it matters the car's an automatic.

I need to get the car inspected which is the last step to make it legal after importing. I can't start it though.

 

I had a similar issue with my odyssey a few months back. Wouldn't do anything even with a new battery. Turns out the alternator was bad. Swapped with one from the junkyard and fixed everything. Try swapping in a known good battery from a friends car to see what happens.

 

OK I'll give that a try. But I find it strange that the dash lit up before when the battery was almost dead and now nothing electrical works.

I still think it has something to do with that anti theft thing that locked the wheel and ignition when i turned the wheel without the keys in.

 

I didn't have a battery that fit but i tried to boost it again. It's the same as with the battery. The starter works but nothing else. No lights on the dash or anything.

Anyone have a clue?
