Cool fcs4 exhaust

want to upgrade exhaust on my '88 fc s4.wondering about auxiliary intake actuators.if previous owner bypassed this what would or in this case would'nt i see.would the aux. intake tube be visible near heat shield if still there, if looking down at engine or would i have to get under car and take a look?

The pressure line for the aux. port actuators tees into the split air pipe. It sits maybe 6" from the exhaust manifold, and should be clearly visible. The split air pipe is a ~1/2" metal tube running parallel to the exhaust. It connects to the main cat and the back of the lower intake manifold (LIM).

Also, converting to a low-restriction exhaust usually makes the actuators stop working. There are work-arounds using electronic actuation or a pressure source much closer to the exhaust ports.
