FC3S Turbo Single Exhaust... Weld in Presilencer?

My car is stupid loud, all the neighbors hate it... 88 Turbo II single exhaust(M2 ebay). The Test pipe has a high flow cat welded in, I am thinking about buying a racing beat style resonator/pre-silencer, flanges(pepboys wooo), and welding it in... has anyone had any luck with this?!? I want to be able to hear myself think again...its a loud, spit fire way to work every morning.

I also need to measure the test pipe length to make sure this will fit, but I want to do one like the link if at all possible...
