FC3S S5 N/A split air valve questions

I didn't want to have to post a new thread on this since there is so much already written about it on here, but I just can't get the answers to the questions I have. I understand that I don't need the split air for proper engine function (I'm pretty sure), but it started throwing the code (30) recently and its driving me crazy. It's totally stock and still has all the emissions stuff and I'd rather not remove it just for the sake of removing it. So my questions are as follows:

1. Since it is an S5, there shouldn't be a tube running to the cat, right? Because there isn't one.

2. When I tested the plug going to the ACV, it reads 12.10 volts in 5th gear and less than 1 volt in all other gears. I'm guessing that means its toast.

3. If I don't need it, what can I do to disable it and get the CEL to go off?

I think that's it for now, I'm still learning about these engines but thanks to this forum I've already learned a lot. Really appreciate any help.

1. The split air pipe is present on all FCs, unless someone removed it. If you have a cat, you need to have the split air pipe, ACV, emissions solenoids on the rack and the air pump.

2. The FSM says 2.5v in 5th and 12v in all others (pg. F1-65). The solenoid only opens the additional split air path in 5th gear, but there's a smaller opening that is always open. Your values are backwards, so something isn't right.

3. I don't know of any work around for it. You can probably pick up a used replacement for next-to-nothing in the classifieds section. The ECU likely needs to see certain resistance values or it'll throw a code.

Sweet I couldn't find the FSM for the S5, thanks for the link. So I really gotta wonder if this is the stock cat...Feel free to call me an idiot, but maybe I'm reading this thing wrong. It says "connect a voltmeter to the split air solenoid valve (L/B) terminal and ground." What the hell does L/B mean?? Maybe I'm checking the wrong thing...
