FC subframe into first gen

I'm in the process of rebuilding a first gen that was a previous Chumpcar winner to make it competitive with the current E30/E36 BMW's we're racing against. I have an FC front subframe, 13B, and all the other take off parts from the FC my team currently is racing (GMS Racing #556).

We know that there have been a number of subframe swaps done in the past to move to the FC struts, and tons of motor swaps, but out concern is these typically are just a subframe bolted to the bottom of the existing frame rails, which according to our calculations will upset the roll center of the car. Discussing with other teams racing SA/FB's it seems like the best idea is to cut about 1.5" out of the rails and reinforce to move the subframe up, or car down depending on how you want to look at it. We are not at all concerned with stock appearance of the fenders, rolling/cutting sheet metal to make room for a 225 with the car as low as possible with level control arms is just fine.

Anyone else building a dedicated track car? Anything we should be doing to make the rear better along with the changes up front?
