FC (NA) Chassis Question
Hi all,
I'm going to take a look at a car tonight, notably a 1990 RX-7 (FC).
It's had some pretty extensive work done on it, most notably an engine swap for a 13b-re with a twin turbo setup.
I've got two concerns which I was hoping someone could fill me in on -
1) I understand from a friend of mine that there is a pretty significant difference in the chassis strength between the FC NA and Turbo versions. This car was originally the NA model and is now throwing down 250+ rwhp instead of the stock ~150 which generates some concern as far as chassis integrity goes if there's a big difference in structural strength. My friend was the first person to tell me of this and I've done considerable research into the 7 and hadn't come across this, can anyone confirm if this is the case or should be a cause for concern?
2) The car needs a welding job for the front diff mount - this is a cheap and easy fix and it's reasonable to expect repairs like this on a 19 year old car, however if the issue outlined in question 1 is indeed true could it be the culprit for the mount going south anyway? If so I'm assuming this is something I'll have to deal with on an ongoing basis in some form or another which may be enough to kill this deal.
Thanks very much!

Regarding #1, your friend is wrong. Its the same chassis. The TII got bigger brakes, different trans and rear and different valving on the shocks.
Got any pics of the broken diff mount?

Unfortunately we couldn't see the mount since it's under part of the frame of the car, but this is something I'll probably want fixed beforehand... don't really want to inherit that issue.
Turns out the car was originally listed here - https://www.rx7club.com/canadian-sale-wanted-classifieds-120/my-1990-gxl-twin-turbo-cosmo-swapped-fc-sale-mint-852023/
We went out for a spin tonight and I had a grin on my face for the next hour
