Experienced buyer needed

I found a 1993 rx7 for $3400. It has twin tubos and seems to be stock and in great shape. it had has the timing belt changed at 120000. It has 1350000 kms on it and it has never been rebuilt. The guy claims that everything works and it doesnt need to be rebuilt. I plan to use this car as a daily driver. Will this car stack up for 100 Kms daily use during the warm months or will it just blow up next week? I need to know if i should sell my cav for the car of my dreams without getting way over my head. please help

I'll let a 3rd gen owner chime in with some specifics, but I can tell you 2 things:

1) $3400 is dirt cheap for a 3rd gen, so there's either something very wrong with the car, or it's a scam.

2) There is no timing belt on a rotary. The owner may not exactly know anything about the car.

The old adage "too good to be true" sign is glowing bright neon over this post right now! Dont send money until you put your hands on the car and title. I have see n this scam before. The timing belt thing is what should tip you off first. There is no timing belt in a rotary. Be very careful.

If the Guy has a Phone number..POST IT UP!
That way "WE ALL can Call him"!..
Nothing like a scammer getting 35,000 phone calls!
hmm..on second thought..Phone him and ask him if the idler pulley and water-pump was replaced when they did the Timing belt..
If he says YES then Call him a DORK!

It is an old car. All old cars risk needing repairs compared to newer cars. Old complicated cars like the FD3s RX7 don't make good daily drivers.
