Exhaust
I have an 86 non-turbo and want to know if there is an affordable exhaust I can put on the car... Will it hurt the performance(besides being non-turbo) of car if I only use a single or do I have to use dual.. Spent a lot of money on getting it running and paint and body work, so the exhaust has to be affordable for now..

To be honest, most of the affordable exhausts for NA RX-7s sound like complete garbage. Now I know that in making that statement I will get a million replies like "my apexi n1 muffler sunds m@d tyte yo! i are dorifto!" but the reality is that to make a nice sounding NA rotary exhaust, you need to spend some money on:
-thick walled stainless headers
-all stainless resonator
-thick walled stainless "catback"
-multiple mufflers
Otherwise it sounds like a chainsaw on crack and will have you wearing ear plugs while you drive it.
Racing Beat and Mazdatrix both carry quality exhausts that will build some power while keeping the noise under control.
If you have a local speed shop, then a set of RB headers with a fabricated cat-back using off the shelf resonators can work out very well if quality parts are used.
Single exhausts are going to be louder to maintain the same flow as a quieter dual setup. No way around it, and that is why Mazda went dual.

I'm not fond of the loud exhaust. I like the deep sound..I dont want to wake up the neighborhood when I leave to work every morning... Is the N1 real loud??? And is it real expensive????
