How dificult is it to rebuild a rotary engine? I'm a new owner of 94' RX7, and I'm thinking about pulling th engine and doing a rebuild. I have mechanical experience doing various upgrades on my big block 460 (intake manifolds/carbs/headers/water pumps/radiators/ac system/etc), but I've never done a rebuild. I consider myself mechanicaly enclined with no formal schooling.

Should I take this on myself? Or leave it to the professionals?
