Engine Rebuild?

I have teared down my engine and everything else looks good except for this front plate. What can I use to fill the bridge on it?

Exahust diffuser removed. What is the purpose of these puppies? Please disregard the diffuser. I know that it helps to tone down the noise, but the metal piece even on turbo housing have it.

Housing without the diffuser.

Thanks!

You can't fix it. It's junk.

Edit...The diffuser is there to help prevent heat transfer into the water jacket. You'll want to reinstall them.

Well I can't find a cheap front plate, so I just came up with this. Don't have the cash for a new one, JB weld was my last resort. According to the jb weld specs 700 degrees fahrenheit which is twice the temp range of the water temp. I'm just not sure if there are chemical reaction that will kill this build.

The engine is S4 and I need the front plate. I'm rebuilding the engine my self and also doing the large street port at the same time. Do you have the front plate?

Don't even bother building an engine with that plate. It will be pumping water in a few hundred miles if not immediately.

You should be able to find a cheap front plate in the classifieds section of this site. If you don't have the cash for a $50 front plate I don't see how you can afford the $1000 necessary to buy stuff to put the engine back together.

What the heck is that sensor next to the oil level sensor? I looked in the FSM it did mentioned anything but it's in the drawing. I just broke the wire and just wondering if it's critical to ditch it?

Finally finished the engine had the car running. Not bad for first time rebuilding this engine and I'll post some pic later. I'm now officially a rotor head! Thanks for all the help here in forum and specially sourcing for some parts.

Engine was modified with Large street port and replace exhaust sleeves with turbo version.

I forgot to add that OMP was also modified as you can see on the picture it has that quart of oil on the right. I'll post a picture of it for the final location.
