engine rebuild
i hear its not to complicated but some of the work is tedious
if you have the right equipment and tools then go for it
i might suggest getting a motor manual or dvd that can walk you through the teardown and rebuild

if you're rebuilding for the sake of learning, then i'd be all for it. however, if sounds like you're rebuilding for the sake of necessity. i'm not sure if that's a good idea. it doesn't sound like you're in a position to accept a screw-up. have a professional at your disposal.
