MI Engine problem

Hey. So for the past few months ive been working on getting my 85 gs rolling. Put a new exhaust / header on and got a RB intake + 450 cfm holley. Currently working on tuning the carb. So far it starts / idles great, and can ease the throttle fine but when try to open it quickly it dies. Thinking its starving but wanted to throw my problem at people who know way more then me before doing anything.

Not so much an engine problem as much as it is a carb problem. Try checking the accelerator pump in your holley, it's either not injecting enough gas or way too much gas when you step on the accelerator.

once moving, how does the engine behave? good throttle response? any bucking or backfiring?

have you confirmed it's an actual RB-modified carburetor?

Have you gotten rolling yet or nothing past a short idle?
