More information would be helpful. For example, explain "mis-fire" a little more specifically. Like at a certain rpm range, or constant at all rpms, or general power loss, etc.? How is the idle?

How badly did it overheat? Short or long duration of overheating period. What was the cooling problem? Any smoke or vapor from the tailpipe?

What year is your car? Turbo or NA?

Describe this misfire. When does it occur? Is it just a slight pop or a massive hesitation?

mis-fire

The engine misfires throughout the full RPM range. It is also unbalanced.
