3rd gen FAQ thread is here:
https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/faq-3rd-gen-other-useful-links-68640/
Lots of good info.
Maintenance is just like most other motors. Fresh oil and filter, fresh spark plugs every 7-15k miles or so (stick with stock plugs), fresh spark plug wires (new stock NGK plugs are actually quite good but so are others), fresh coolant, check/replace the coolant hoses since they are probably old and brittle and in need of replacing, use new OEM clamps with the coolant hoses (makes it easier to install and they won't damage the hoses like worm type clamps do), change the fuel filter ever 15k, change the tranny and diff oil with a good quality oil, belts, check the stock plastic AST and radiator for cracking (replace if needed).
get a boost gauge and make sure you keep boost controlled to 10 PSI with the stock fuel system. There isn't enough fuel capacity for more than 10-11 PSI.
Be careful with mods. Its easy to blow a turbo rotary since even small mods increase air flow quite a bit and can overwhelm the fuel system.
