I'm working on s4 gtu wich i have rebuilt a hybrid engine n/a (6port) front and rear plates mild ports and a TII center plate with turbo pucks. well i'm turboing it using a holeset WH1C 40mm external wastegate 3" exhaust and all thats done but as for endine mangment i'm installing a haltech E8. Is is possible to fully remove the stock ecu and still run your stock gauge cluster? I'm currently in the prosses of cleaning up all of the wiring harness so this is a great time to do what i need to do.

Redline management?

I don't know anything about that turbo but I did a quick bit of Google searching and found that it is typically used in Diesel applications. Based on the fact you said it had a wastegate I am assuming it is a smallish T3 style exhaust side. Unless it's larger then 1.0, that is going to be too small for a 13B.

All of the gauges are independent of the ECU. The only gauge you will loose is the factory boost gauge as it runs on the factory pressure sensor which will be removed when you install the Haltech.

the exhaust housing are very similar, holeset vs stock TII, the holeset is a 12 cm housing. the exhaust wheel is more agressive and the compressor wheel is much bigger, its made for high volume.
