hello, I recently got an rx7 and it wont pass emmisions, ive read and from what I have gathered, ive changed the plugs and air filter and adjusted the idle. im not sure what else I can do besides buying a new cat. any ideas?

 

How old is it? I recently found the original cats in my 85 where basically blown out (empty). If yours are the same, you will never pass smog.

 

Corey, which RX-7 do you have? NA or turbo? It also helps to change the oil just before going and a fresh set of plug wires can also help. How close are you to passing? What are your readings? Can you post up your most recent result? How many times have you attempted to pass?

 

List any mods done to the car as well
