GA electrical problems

Ok, so i order a used lightswitch and subharness. Subharness comes in before the weekend so i put it in. Lightswitch gets here yesterday so i put that in. Soon as i do, poof, another fried lightswitch. So i get looking closer to the subharness and see its alittle differenent. Call rx7 and they confirm that the one i have that i needed to replace is for an s4. So i guess i have a mixed and matched s4 and s5 wire harness, where i didnt think was possible to do and work properly, but according to rx7, i guess it is possible to do so. So i had to repin my new harness and match it to my old one. Ive done that but it got dark and i was in no mood to go back outside lastnight and try it to see whats left of the switch i bought. So ill try it after work today. Does anyone have a list or can tell me what the id numbers are for an 86-88 and a 89-92 cpu and ecu are so i can go through those to see which is actually in my car which is a 90na by the way? Thanks. Im kinda bummed out right now.

Why not just get the right one the first time instead of re-pinning stuff?

Thats your advice huh? Thats awesome. Maybe if i had known it had the wrong harness for the year of my car then i would have ordered the correct one. Nah, that would make to much sense, afterall I must just be a dumb@##
