Is it the driveshaft?

So, I was reading about the FC NA to T2 swap. The main issue being that if you are going to swap out the transmission, you also have to swap everything going on back. Is this because the driveshaft is a different length? Or are there other limiting factors?

If its just the driveshaft that is the problem, I know how to get one fabricated for my own personal solution. That way, I don't have to source out a whole rear end.

The TII diff is physically bigger then the n/a diff.

From the FAQ
Can I install the Turbo II transmission into an NA?

Certainly. But you need to also install:
-TII flywheel, clutch, pressure plate
-TII slave cylinder
-TII starter
-TII driveshaft, differential, axels
-Adapt the wiring.

MazdaTrix makes a TII transmission to NA rear end driveshaft, so if you don't want to swap your rear end, you can use that shaft instead.

Thanks. I saw that part in the FAQ, but it didn't give enough detail for what I was after. Thanks for the reply!

The TII drivetrain is stronger then the NA. Mazda realized that people would be modifying TIIs and built the car appropriately. While big power can be run on the NA drivetrain (I'm at ~420 to the wheels), the TII drivetrain will ultimately be more reliable.
