Don't know what to do. Clutch ossue....maybe

Ok so I traded for a rx7 GTI couple months ago. I was driving home and wouldn't so anywhere. Replaced the clutch and still nothing. Pulled trans again found it was bad. Bought a used good one tested good as well. Pit that one in and still nothing. I've read forums and searched all I can. Disc is on correctly pressure plate cleaned slave working properly. Only issue I can see that could be the problem is surface rust on the flywheel. Oh with the rear of the car in the air wheels barely turn, even when revving a lil. Please help!

How do you test a clutch???

And are you having issues with it going into gear? Or it'll go into gear and won't move when you let the clutch out?

Going in to gear won't move no grinding.

Your rear wheels in the air comment, is that putting it in ANY gear? Or only first?

Can you out've curiosity make it "grind gears" so you know the trans is turning internally?

As long as the correct clutch assembly and release bearing was installed, the only possible
explanation I can come up with is that the PP is not clamping tight enough against the disc.
Stick it in gear, wheels up, disconnect the linkage from the fork and give it a try.

i thought of doing the same thing. I'm gonna try to clean up the flywheel first then if it don't work I'll try that. I work 3rd so I work on it in the mornings when i get home.

What did you do? I, too thought it sounded like the disc wasn't properly clamped by the pressure plate.
