Do I need to update my Map
Hi All,
I have an FD3S Type R import which has the following setup....
V mount
T70 Turbo
external wastegate
shotgun exhaust
Apexi ECU
Wideband AEM AFR Guage
I have loads of other mods but I am listing what I think is relivent.
The car was mapped to have a slienced mid pipe, the silencer was very small. Also the external wastegate was venting to the atmosphere through a one inch screamer pipe.
Because I wanted to take the car onto the track I had to quiten the car down to pass the noise tests.... So I got a new silenced mid pipe which has a much larger silencer on it and also the wastegate is now plumbed in before the midpipe.
The car now does 95 DB at 6000 RPM which is great, however before I take the car on the track do I need to get the map updated because I have added more restriction to the exhaust system?
The car is mapped to 0.8 BAR and I have driven the car up to 0.6B AR and the AFR'S are around the 10 mark when on boost.
Any advice would be great.
Thanks
