Do I have to leave transmission supported?

I removed the engine on my TII yesterday. I am leaving the transmission in the car. I was going to take advantage of the down time to wheel the car out of the garage for a good cleaning. Do I have to leave the transmission support with a jack or is that just to aid in the engine removal process?

Sorry in advanced for the rather simple question. I am sure its in the forum somewhere but its a tough one to find searching.

Thanks

I'm sure it's too late by now, but keep it supported.

I supported my FB trans with some rope and tied it to the hood latch bracket
