A couple GSL-SE problems
A couple GSL-SE problems
I got a couple questions/ issues. I have an '84 GSL-SE
First off, the rear wheels make this clicking noise every time I slow down below about 20 mph. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the LSD, but seeing as I don't know much about LSD's, I may be way off.
Second, when I start the car, sometimes it revs really really high to get started, then idles right, sometimes it hardly starts, then idles really low. I've also noticed that if I run the AC, and I go to idle, the car will stall out. Possibly bad alternator?
Third, I believe it also has bad fuel injectors, because it floods pretty consistently, and if it doesn't flood, it starts up with smoke out of the tailpipe. I already have plans to fix that, I've got a friend with some spare injectors, and he's gonna let me borrow them to send off to RC Engineering, to get them remanufactured, then I'll give him back my old ones.
Fourth, how can I tighten my fuel door release lever? I can pull on the fuel door release, but it doesn't actually open the fuel door, causing me to have to use a key to crowbar the thing open...
Any advice for my problems?

I think I've figured out a few of my problems. I read through the GSL-SE idle problems link, and I'm gonna check out my BAC valve after work today, and I ordered 2 quarts of the LSD oil and the LSD additive from Mazdatrix to help with the click.
But I still have no idea how to get my fuel door to open using the release in the car...
