Coupe Seat Belt Same As Vert?
The passenger seat belt retract mechanism is stuck on my '91 vert. Is the seat belt for the coupe the same? Or do I need to find one from a vert?
Tried cleaning, etc. Didn't help.
Thanks in advance.

I'm curious too. We cleaned ours and it was marginally better. Most seem to do a hot soak i cleaner for hours in a bucket and that seems to fix it. I also saw a vid where a guy disassembled and tightened the coil spring, but that's a little tricky.

I haven't answered my own question but... I gave it one more shot at cleaning and may have won the battle.
I removed the plastic covers on the sides and carefully forced the seat belt to open all the way. Sprayed lots of silicone based lube in there and worked the seat belt in both directions (full opened and fully closed) several times. Eventually a little piece of black plastic came out and it began working better. Spray more silicone lube. Work it some more. It loosened up considerably and is working more or less normally.
It is unclear if the piece of plastic is from the seatbelt mechanism or something that fell inside. I am guessing it is foreign material.
