coolant seals
coolant seals
So this all started car running great decided to go electric fan with my koyo 88 turbo 2 by the way so my radiator was off car for 3 days o reinstalled and temperature shot up to 200 so using a heat gun I checked radiator and it didn't seem to be cooling replaced with a god speed new unit and no thermostat just to rule it out. Motor slowly heats up but never stops climbing my ? Is can the seals dry rot in 3 days?
Maybe if you bake the engine in an oven at 400F until golden brown.
What electric fan are you using, and what size/CFM? Does the temperature come back down if you're cruising at freeway speeds?

I have not tried running it at highway speeds because I do not want to over heat it I also do not know the cfm also I pressure tested system and it dropped 3 OSI in 10 minutes with no external leaks shock is normal
Can you try putting the old fan and shroud back on, at least temporarily? If you can, and it fixes your problem, then the problem is what rotary rocket was pointing out. Most electric fans do not move as much air as a mechanical fan. Shrouding to force all of the air through the radiator is important with any fan, but especially important with a fan that is marginal. This is a common problem that street rodders run into. If your fan is insufficient even after checkig your shroud, then you can either go to bigger/ larger fan unit or put a pusher fan in front of the radiator in addition to the pull through behind it. Unless you seriiously overheated it I wouldn't think that the seals had let go.
